Texas Sotol (Dasylirion)
Texas Sotol (Dasylirion texanum) is a showy, very cold hardy succulent that brings the look of the Southwest to wherever it's planted. Bright green, strap-like leaves with small, sharp teeth line the leaf edges, form a large growing rosette. With maturity, the plants will eventually grow a small woody trunk. Tall narrow flower spikes appear in early summer and make an excellent perch for hummingbirds in the xeric garden.
