Lavandula stoechas 'Purple Ribbon' (Spanish Lavender) is a superb long blooming, seed grown Spanish Lavender. The flowers spikes are dark purple with dark purple bracts ("wings") on top. Sweetly fragrant and very popular with the butterflies, the plants are nicely uniform in height and width. It is also a bit cold hardier than many of the newer Spanish Lavender cultivars. (seed/cutting propagated.) Lavandula prefers slightly alkaline soil so if planting in the Southeast, we suggest you take a soil test before planting.
